AHHH, you vile creature, how dare you speak such blasphemy

Seriously though, when Azrael first became batman, and he was wearing the actual Batman costume, I thought he was kind of cool, he was much darker, and killing was not out of the subject. But once he made the new costume, I think it was Batman #500 where that first happened, he began to suck.

As for me, I think I prefer The Dark Knight version, right before the different Knight(s) series was my favorites of the Bat-Man books.

Although, I did really get into the whole Bruce Wayne: Murder storyline they had going on a year back.

Jim Lee, and jeff Loeb's run on batman, the "Hush Storyline", from batman 608-619 was superb. Amazing lee art, a tremendous who is/who dun it storyline. Catwoman finding out bat's identity, a really good read.

But my self, overall... i loved the batman from The Dark Knight Returns, the costume, all they way to the character. Retired, living the playboy lifestyle... but the game was just too much, and he couldnt stay away... just really showed that Bruce is Batman more then he is "Bruce Wayne".
