Hi,

Use a program called DVD Decrypter, it is the best out there hands down.

just use smartripper the way it is - this gives you the raw vob files

then convert the vob files to what format and size you require

Not long been ripping dvd's myself and found some of the programmes a bit confusing as you had to use at least three programmes to rip a disc.

Found dvdshrink and it does it all for me and so easy to use (rips and compresses to right size for dvd-r), just insert the disc set to automatic compression or do it manually and cliick go. Creates vob, ifo and bup files which you can then burn straight to dvd-r.

dvdshrink in freeware and can be found at

    dvdrhelp.com

Don't know if this is what you want to do but this is the simpilist way I have found!?

Don't bother with smartripper, use dvd decryptor its far better. I've had probs. with smartripper before, it didnt copy the sound of part of some movies.

    How to rip:

1 - Install the latest version of dvd decryptor on your pc.

2 - Insert dvd disk into dvd rom drive.

3 - Select the destination folder. (if its labelled VIDEO_TS, you can watch it from your hard drive using windvd or equivalent)

4 - Click the decrypt icon.

Sit back and relax and let it do its job
