Just Got My Self A Dvd-writer

so if you guys know some "need to have" software, like a good ripping, converting tool or somethin' els that I didn't think of please post any suggestions here.

btw it's a nec something-1300 so do you know if changing to herries hacked firmware will do any good

havent tried this, but might be useful.

DVD Shrink....freeware to compress or edit out unneeded extras to fit onto a dvd.

DVD shrink does work; it transcodes until the dvd will fit on a disk, but be careful, cos it plays all "skippy" and "jumpy" on one of my standalone players...took me ages to work out what the prob was
