There like recovery CD's. The recovery partition is an image of the data that was on your computer when you first bought it. Using this, it will copy that data onto CD's.

ok thanks...i have 5 cds that should fit it all on right?
that's 3.5GB that should do right?

Im not totally positive, my computer used 8 CD's and its using about 5.5 GB, which would be about 8 CD's. I would wait till you get 1 extra CD. But you can run it now, if you need an extra CD, you can exit the program, and when you run it again, it should be back where you left it.

It is very important that you update the drivers that you now have. I don't understand this back up cd creator that comes with HP systems, but without doubt your drivers and directx will long be outdated. Do not underestimate how much of a negative effect this can and will have on your systems performance and stability.

I'll get the latest DirectX but I wont bother about the other drivers I've never updated them anyway apart from the Automatic Updates.
