As I am using Kazaa, but not Emule I can just give you some reasons
why I use Kazaa Lite K++:

    Resons for Kazaa:

+ Many peopple are using Kazaa. Over 3 million, sometimes 5 million.
6 GB in over 5 millions files on Kazaa. Do you know a bigger archiv?

+ Decentralized network. Kazaa will never be shut down.
It is based on its users sharing files.

+ Download from many sources if the filesize and filename is the same.

+ Multi Source Download: garanties file availability.

    + ... any more?

Here are my reasons for emule:

    - files are 100% corrupt free
that is if the original file was corrupt free of course. As you may have noticed, sometimes emule will display a corrupted part in the log (don't worry). This can happen for a whole bunch of reasons, but just so you know, that corrupted part will be redownloaded automatically, or fixed by the ICH.
Since emule works by uploading files in small chunks/blocks/parts, if a file becomes corrupted, all the user has to do is redownload that single part again without having to do so with the entire file.
So kiss corrupted games, movies, images, music, archives, etc away.

    - sharing of incomplete files
when you download at least a single complete part, this part is automatically available to download for other users. This allows quick distribution since you dont have to wait till a file is completed by a user, and it makes sure that those users who unshare complete files still contribute to the community.

    - quick distribution of new files
A basic overview of the ED2K Network
The emule official board has given a good example of how well it distributes so im not gonna repeat it
Look for the "A basic overview of the ED2K network" section.

    - great for older releases or less popular files
Because of source finding, request and reshare communities, and it's distribution method, rare/less popular files can still be found.

    - different mods
As its an open source program, you can find a great deal of different mods to try out, so your not stuck to just one program.

    - increasing community
the emule/edonkey community is getting bigger and especially in Europe , don't be left out.

    - a lot of index sites
Whats an index site? They well....index stuff.. Mainly real non-fake files, so you can find file links (to add the file to the queue) of many things. Just check out this bunch of index sites..

    - fewer fakes
Maybe cos of index sites, not sure really
Two most common methods of finding files are through index sites which are pretty much 99% likely not to give you fakes, and through the search feature. While there are fakes on the network, the files with the most sources are likely to be what your looking for.

    - better source finding
Yep. Unlike kazaa where you have to manually jump from node to node finding a rare source, in emule, it searches each server in your list one at a time regularly. Its only a matter of time till it finds them all In kazaa, even if you do find a source, if the user disconnects and joins on a different node, you will need to find this user again.

    - good credit system / leecher ban features
This network works by giving you more credit if you share more. Users with leecher mods will be detected by fair clients and banned from downloading from you...and best part is we can still download from them

    - you can prioritise files
so its not the files that are well spread being uploaded, it gives low spreaded files a chance to have better priority, so if a user enters a queue for that file, they will get it sooner.

    - you know what QR your at.
So you know if your making progress through a queue or not. Better than watching "waiting", "queued", or "remotely queued" all the time. With E+, we have a QR progress indicator which shows you your progress through the queue since the last source checking.

    - webserver
You don't even have to be at your computer to operate your mule. Just do it through your webbrowser, on another computer...in Tibet if you wish B)

    - one file per user
A user can only download one file from another user at anyone time. This is good as it helps speeds up your queue progress. I know this might not be clear why, so imagine this: you want to download a file from user1, but user2 has queued up all or most of user1's files, so user1 has to upload to user2 first which can take a longgggg time before proceeding to you. It also makes users keep their files for longer periods.

    - files are hashed
Each file that is shared has to be hashed at least once before it can begin uploading. Hashing is generating an id of a file, each hash produced for that file is unique. When you click on a ed2k link, its really adding that hash to your list.
Even though you search using the filenames, the results will show a hash, and even though results may have identical filesizes, names, etc, a different filehash will indicate that it may be fake, or modified someway.

Reason why it sounds a little odd is because i copied it from one of my stickies

That is really interesting to know that Emule files can be downloaded partly. Is it if you have a Fake File, oyu just re-download the "fake part"?

It is really a good solution.

not quite sure what your saying?

when you download files, the file is sent from the uploader in parts roughly 9MB in size. As soon as you finish a part, the part is shared automatically for other clients to download from you as well as full sources. This helps to spread files quicker. If the original releaser has spread all their parts of the file to other users, they user can close emule down and even though no-other user has a complete file, the parts needed for the file is still on the network, all the other users need now is to download from each other.

Files you have downloaded with first and last parts can be previewed. So you can check using VLC or something to find out whether it is fake. How much you can preview depends on the other parts though.
