Thread: Disappearing Threads,unacceptable!

    I've been on at least two threads in the last week that, when I moved to read the next page, I "was not permitted" to view.

    I can understand locking the thread and letting it sink into the forum depths, but to simply remove threads, however crude they may be, irks me.

    I hope this behaviour lessens.



    Edit: If my memory serves, I'd only had the non-permitting message happen once before this week, and it was quite some time ago. The instances, for me at least, have at least doubled. In a week.

    and the germans are still like "omg ph34r n00bz"
    the russians fall back, all the way to moscow
    and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter

    Same here, in the past week while reading a thread, when I took another look I was not allowed to view it any more! For some reason this seems to be happening more often recently.

    Two days ago someone posted a link in the lounge to my radio station, completely without my knowledge or permission. I posted in that thread explaining that I had not given permission. My post was deleted. Why not just remove the link?

    Soulseek's discussion board used to have,"The Graveyard,"for depositing closed threads, a similar forum would be a good idea here.

    The threads you were not permitted to view were the ones with large numbers of posts, this was for the same reason they were locked, they cause a drain on the board. This was then resolved, apparently, it was decided to allow them to be viewed, and sink naturally.

    we kinda have such a place...

    btw this specific topic was moved there by me. Even after i asked to keep it decent some abused it
    Then got a load of pm's complaining about it, got some pm's forwarded that contain really abusive language i thought the best to do was to let it cool down
    and i moved it to that temp folder...
    I could have closed it but this would probably have brought up this same debate Now the topic is back, just took out the most nasty stuff...

    fact is we don't censor this board...
    we just try to control it as much as possible to keep it a decent place for all
    It is impossible to take decissions then that pleases all

    Especially when i wrote my life's piece in it.
    Showing how incredibly smart and witty i am.......

    Nothing more refreshing then bellybutton-watching and to discover it is gone.....


    O, me, oh, my, they stole my brilliance!!!!

    I'd say: Delete more threads!!!

    Keeps the board real fresh and keeps my vanity from exploding !!!!
