Thread: What according to you makes or breaks a brand new tracker?

    Question Mark

Lately I've been on reddit and seen that a few new trackers for different kind of content have popped up on r/trackers and r/opensignups.

So what do you think can make or break a new tracker? What do you think they should do to survive so that they can the site up?

Content? User base growth? Retention? Or do you think it's something else?

I think it basically boils down to 1. fill a void content-wise, offer something that will make people interested in joining; 2. have a good, usable interface. Passing a basic vulnerability scan, and having some cash to see if the ship will take off before asking for donations, wouldn't hurt either

Back in the day, we got a few new 0-day trackers every month. Nothing made them stand out from each other, let alone established ones, and thus they died soon afterwards.
