    Ok, when Im playing BF1942, the EA GAMES "challange everything" screen looks really bad. Also, the main screen is hard to read and is blurry. The gameplay looks great, but the words while im playing are also blurry and stuff...quite weird.

    I have a 9700Pro with all of the latest drivers..its weirddd

    Turn off anti aliasing and antisotropic filtering etc etc in your Display Options in control panel, and ingame if it allows you to.

    Sounds more to me like the mipmap levels been set to performance. Better frame rates at the cost of of visual quality - i noticed similar problems with text when i had mine set to performance. (I no longer set it any lower than 'blend', and its usually on the quality setting)
