I forgot my password as it was saved on my old pc, and reset password never works So had to create a new account after over a decade

I just use chrome to remember my passwords from past few years, initially I was afraid to save passwords because of privacy reasons but when I came to know that google still has access to everything I do on the internet, so I thought why not my passwords then .

They only have access to what you and others give them... which would now include your passwords.
