In my experience "gaming headsets" sssuuuuucccck. It's best to get something like a pair of sennheiser 560. Or something like that. And get a microphone to add to your cable.
I personally just use a budget pair of moondrop quarks for gaming. Moondrop has a great natural signature that picks up everybody around you. It's helping me greatly in rdr2. When I feel like using over the ear headphones I use my grado sr60. Their clean and detailed tuning is great for fps's. And they're open so you're able to hear what's going on around you too. Like I don't know.... Maybe when you're sister hops into the shower. You'll know when to go sneak a peek. You dirty boy
