    Why do they call it World Series when only American teams play

    This sounds like something you'd find at SportsCult. Not a member, but invites don't seem too hard to find, they've even opened signups a few times.

    Thank you, anon. And good point: not sure why it is called the World Series. North American Series would be more appropriate.

    Why didn't they call it The Earth Series. I mean that pretty much cuts the Martians out of the equation at the very least.
