    Hello everyone,

I've been out of the Usenet scene for a while, any recommendations on the best/cheapest?

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: https://squareeyed.org/browse Has turned out to be a nice little indexer. I'm sure there's much better but I don't know them. Anyways free users get 10 downloads a day I believe

Easynews has an annual/unlimted deal for around $50/yr? You may need to google for it; I found the link on Reddit a few years ago. It was/is not advertised very much (or at all).

Nice. I'll have to check around Reddit then since it's 9.99 month right now.

    Thank you

A sites good for block accounts? It doesn't look like Easynews has anyone, just monthly plans.

Hello, you legend Frugal Usenet is 5 USD per month if you pay a year upfront ($6 otherwise). Usenet.farm's cheapest plan is 5 EUR a month. They're both good in my experience, although Farm has speed and transfer caps that may or may not be okay for you.

King's Day is a good time to scout for deals in Dutch providers.

Frugal Usenet sounds right up my alley. I've been searching for free accounts but no dice. $60 a year plus a 300gb block account. Sounds good to me.

    Thank you my friend.

Nope. Neither are. I just get kicked to a weird Wordpress page.

    Thank you for trying though.

I'm still looking for that crazy good deal so I haven't started with anyone yet, but Frugal is looking like the best.

Links load for me and $2 per month for the first 15 months!? Now that's worth looking into...

If you know someone else in the same situation, you could split costs. Frugal doesn't allow account sharing, but others do.

The links load for you? I wonder why not me. I'm just using Firefox. Hmm .. I'll try on my desktop as they are not loading for me on this laptop. Or I'll try them on my Windowz partition.

Actually my nephew would probably wanna get on this. He's just getting into piracy and loves it, but he's using bitorrent. I wouldn't mind sharing an account with him.

    Thanks you guys.

You are just clicking on the link, right? You are not trying to highlight/copy/paste (because that won't work with ... shortened URL)?

And of course you want to use a virtual credit card that expires before the 15 months are over so that the account does not get renewed at the higher rate (or you just cancel the account manually before renewal), and then you sign up for this deal again and create a new account.
