In total seriousness, I'm currently seeing a lot of Canadian animus toward a country that had previously always been viewed as one of our best allies. Just yesterday I was shocked to hear a friend call both Trump and Musk the "e" word. The "e" word historically reserved for very bad people.
    Respect my lack of authority.

Might have something to do with Trump now cozying up to the very adversary that Canadian blood was spilled right beside American blood in the defense against said adversary. But a buck's a buck, right?

Actually, I forewent the 'proper' term because, quite rightly, Canadians own it, and, at my advanced age, I don't have the time or inclination to use a (regretfully) French word simply to curry favor I am not due.

Besides which, 'America's toque' doesn't communicate the message adequately.

Oh, I'm quite sure you are, but these are essentially wrong-thinking people like yourself; there are plenty like the fellow I chatted with extensively today.

He was what has become the rarest of beasts: a White Canadian truck driver.

I hadn't seen him in about ten years - we had some good laughs and agreed to continue as friendly neighbors.

Neither of us actually thinks Canadia would make a proper state.

My last buck was a very nice/tasty ten-pointer.

    Time for my massage.

I get them free for four years in exchange for supporting my buddy, Donald.
