dont get tiscalli they have a bad reputation in germany as they are capping dl and ul speeds - ppl who had dsl 768dl128ul were capped to something like 56k modem speeds because tiscalli had too many users and not enough bandwidth to handle them all.They also had the cheapest price here so loads of ppl fell for them

For Cable i&#39;d say NTLworld....either the 600k or 1MB service..dont bother with 128k u may as well stay on Dial-Up had the 600k for about 12months now and in that time probably had 2/3 days of downtime (thats f***in&#39; good) its about £24.99 p.m. (600k) and they always have offers on like free modem or installation...jus&#39; check u can get it in your area...i think NTL have come on leaps and bounds with their internet service (dont bother with BT asdl...who wants to use telephone wires still? not me....gimme Cable anyday..

Telewest are also another good company to try. I&#39;m with NTl though and I&#39;m after a 2MB speed which unfortunately, NTL do not do. I&#39;d go with them if I wasn&#39;t tied down to a contract.

As for me iam going through a company called V21 at £19.99 576 K, I was going to go for plus net (somome mentioned them earlier) but their cheaper service at £19.99 said something about no support for P2P.
The chaepest ive ever heard was this comp Biz net who charged £12.99 for 512K&#33;
strange how their site no longer mentions it anymore.

You may wonder what the catch is with ISP&#39;s offering services below £20 a month but all these services do is to provide more flexibility of the features, for example technical support may be axed, or you may get a Dynamic IP of less web space. whereas AOL and Freeserve charge premium funds and give no option of anything else.
