sup, ya'll. I recently bought T3 and I wanted to back it up so that when I borrow it to my sister and her kids ruin the original I'd have a backup of it. Well I used dvd decrypter to put a backup onto my harddrive, and it backed up the VIDEO_TS file which contains all the IFO, BUP, and VOB files for the dvd, I was just wondering how I should burn this to a dvd now. I'm new to backing up my DVDs as I just recently got a dvd burner so I'm not even sure if I am doing it right. If anyone can tell me how to burn my backup or a good way to copy the dvd (dvdxcopy doesn't work) I'd appreciate it immensly.

I use DVD Shrink for making the backup to harddrive -which works much like DVD Decryptor. For burning I use CopyToDVD - and haven't had any prob's with the burns I've done thus far.

DVD Shrink is 'freeware' - CopyToDVD is reasonably priced. Info on these can be found at Club CD Freaks forum http://club.cdfreaks.com/index.php?s or at DVDRhelp.com Forum at http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/index.php

Both excellent sites for vidoe editing info.

You should have dvd burning software with your dvd-writer unless it was OEM. The most popular burning software is NERO, you should give that a try.

As for shrinking your dvd (you need to do this first or your movie wont fit on dvd-r disk), i use DVD2ONE, its staright forward and ideal for a beginner.
