My Music

Ok...what I do with my Cds, is simply put them in the drive, and let Windows Media Player "rip" it. It makes it to where I can listen to the songs in media player and do whatever I want with them. However, my question is if that is considered an MP3? Like could I share those (complete albums) with other users on Soulseek?..if I can get it to work

This is just my opinion bigdawgfoxx and is what I use.Other People are going to tell you different(Lamsey ).Play around with all the Programs people suggest and see what you like.Drop useing Windows Media Player.

Burning: NERO 6

Playing / Listening: WinAMP 5

My personal opinion is that music sounds better when listening to it off of WMP instead of Winamp. Also the new winamp..like winamp 3 actually, took like 20 seconds to open on my computer!! I duno about the new winamp tho, but windows media player is instant.

I will try what you suggested for ripping, and I have Nero 6 although I kinda dont understand all the feautres and shit...

I will try that Orange CD thing even though I have no clue what it is.

My first question was never really answered...can I share the stuff ripped off of WMP (It is variable bitrate and sounds great to me.. ) Will Soulseek recognize it as MP3? The reason I wonder is because they are my friends CDs ive ripped and he is at military school right now...lol I barley have any CDs

IF I CAN GET SOULSEEK or eMule to work! UGH

Hey..when I downloaded dbpoweramp...it comes with 2 icons. which do i choose? the one on the top? or the one on the bottom? The one on top seems easiest to use...but i duno. I just wana make sure im doing it right lol

for conversion between music formats, etc mp3 -> wav, wma -> mp3 etc
