    something wierd is happening to my computer u know when u like double click a program and that hour glass loading thing comes up well thats flashing all the time even when i havnt clicked a program its like on the mouse how do i stop it ive restarted and restarted nothin still the same???

    Try restarting your PC...maybe even turn it off for a minute or two.

    have you got any programs running in the background that you dont know are running, check in task manager

    ive restarted my comp 3 times and left it of over night and i have checked the task bar thats first thing i do??

    Try booting into safe mode (usually F8 as it's booting) then try scandisk from there.

    If that doesn't sort it,you could try deleting the mouse from system properties device manager & rebooting.You get to that by right-clicking on 'my computer' then choosing properties at the bottom of the pop-up window.

    why would deleting my mouse help???

    have you got something like norton utilities or ontrack to run the system repairs, registry cleaners etc, deleting the mouse may be worth a try, as windows will re-instal it on boot up

    are you using animated cursers, if so disable it.

    It'll re-detect it at boot-up,and then at least you'll have a generic mouse driver installed,which'll enable you to determine whether it's a hardware or software fault.
