Yes, port forwarding works. I use it on all of my p2p proggies, including BT.
Very nice guide. B)
Ok, i did my port forwarding with my linksys. my BT still has a yellow light?
Does this work with USB modem? Is there a similar trick for USB?
Sp your Gateway is 1.1 that makes you 1.2
No need to forward ports for a modem.Originally posted by Will_518@16 December 2003 - 12:32

Are you sure you followed the instructions to the letter. Unfortunately, when I bought my Linksys Router, there wasn't any helpful guides like this so I had to learn the hard way.Originally posted by Lenuin@15 December 2003 - 09:29

Once you have typed in your 'Gateway Address' and input your password, default is 'admin' and user name is to be left blank.
Click on the 'Advanced' tab on the top right corner, then click on 'Forwarding' which appears as a new tab.
Now here is where mistakes can be made... Don't just put your TCP and UDP Port numbers in the spaces provided and think that it's done. There is also a button called 'Port Triggering' funnily enough. Input the same data. Save.
Now, I recommend rebooting the machine and going back to your Linksys Diagnostic page, and seeing if it has been saved correctly. Try now. It should be working.

Hmmm...Does anyone know how to do this with an "INTRACOM" ADSL router?
This is how my menu looks
What should i click?
