That´s really nice work. I´d love to do the same, have the Vista looks but with XP stability. Any chance on a few details about how you have it looking this way?

I have a half-ass guide in the Software Section (Check here), but compared to what is at JoeJoe's Forum - it's nothing. Plus, it is serverly outdated now.
In my Desktop pics, I was shooting for a Vista Codename Longhorn style (Pre-Vista), because Vista Skins often have fake buttons such as the Search bar in the start menu...I wanted NONE of that fake stuff, and Longhorn is more unique anyways.
I'm all for functionality as well. ++Top Priority++ Never use customization patches/progs, best to do your system manually.
There's a moderator/admin named Vishal who is known as the "ResHacker Guru" - There you can find to do the stuff that I did.
You'll need a program called "ResHacker 3.4.0.79" aka Resource Hacker.
WindowsBlinds or WinXP Visual Styles.

OK, I´ve already got w/blinds and I´ve rarely used ResHacker but I do have it.
Thanks for the info, I´ll see what I can learn.
give me OSX any day, or windows classic all fancy stuff disabled.
I just finished reshackin' Outlook Express into lookin' like Windows Mail (Vista style) as well as the sysdm (Sys. properties), fixed up WinFX for effects and the about Win banner. I think I'm doneGet great performance, too!
