Thread: Restore .dat Dl Files

    Hi there
    after searching for help in other parts of forum and not finding the info needed. i am wondering if it is possible to to restore a cancelled download .dat file.
    i am asking because i have some downloads which were cancelled by me (idiot!&#33 and were nearly 90% complete and i do not want to download from the beginning again

    I belive we have all done the same thing. sucks doesn't it?
    but when you cancel you delete.So far nobody knows how if it can be done.

    in case you were using file recovery tools like norton utilities you might be able to recover the deleted dat file,in case you are able to recover put it in shared folder and there you are with your old download being resumed.........
    else no other way.

    thank you for a quick reply greatly appreciated.
    glad i am not to be the first (or last) to do this.
    time to dl all over again unless someone comes up with an answer- i'll keep trying

    It's a tough lesson to learn TRUST ME I KNOW TO WELL.

    It will teach you to be more carfull in the future (We do learn from our mistakes afterall)

    How do u use Norton Utilities to recover a file?

    The unearase wizard or norton protetected files fro the recycle bin.
