So whats stoping you?
It fine here..i downloaded a movie this mornning.
Yep!! The network is still active here also - in fact last night was very busy up and downloading
I agree that the network is still active but is it just me or is the network crawling. I'll try to download an mp3 that about 1000 people have, get about 30 at a time downloading, but all at 1k. I don't ever remember it being this slow unless it's just me that's slow. I'm running cable and it takes hours to download one song. Any comments, suggestions, flames, threats, ideas, thoughts, theories, hypothoses, general conclusions? I mean, 30 people at a time for 1 file and it says it will take 656 hours. What's up with that?
Done whining now.
Are you ACTIVELY downloading from all 30 users or just ATTEMPTING to download from all 30 users at the moment?Originally posted by kidtom@11 December 2003 - 21:46

It's a BIG difference.
Switek, what do you mean actively or attempting?
Actively means that you are actually downloading 30 files from 30 users, and attempting means that you are attempting to connect or wait for resources from 30 users.
Have you raised your accelerator limit? I've raised mine to take action on connections less than 20 kbps with excellent results.
An average MP3 download for me is taking anywhere from less than 1 minute to 10 minutes and I'm on regular broadband (DSL) service.
:confused:Yeah, Like right now I'm trying to download an .mp3 and have 13 users downloading. It doesn't seem to matter how many users I connect with, if I expand to see all the users they all are downloading at about 0.01 Kb/s. Quite frankly I remember the days when I could download an .mp3 within minutes. Something is seriously wrong here and I'm a little confused. Any and all suggestions about tweaking the settings would be appreciated. I've been searching through the forums and came across the post about just doing an initial search to find a file, start downloading it, and then go back and search more to add users. Doesn't seem to make any difference. ThanksAre you ACTIVELY downloading from all 30 users or just ATTEMPTING to download from all 30 users at the moment?
