Just a few thoughts...

1. Amd is going 64 bit and and the Barton may become the bargain chip although it probably won't see more than 3500+ any way... You can get a 2500+ barton and oc it to atleast 3200 plus , That's a 350$ (athlon 3200+) chip for 95 dollars...

2. SATA is still young and your building a box with parts at the end tech cycle (but trust me this box will scream). Assuming it doesn't get reworked you can move it with next time you upgrade...

3. get the 9600XT slightly faster same price and you can download Half Life 2 for free when it's realeased!!!! (bundled software) You can also overclock the piss out of this card (and the PRO to)

4. check over at overclockers.org or motherboards.org to make sure the board your getting is bug free some boards with the nforce 2 chipset are buggy (don't play nice with sys with over 768 megs of ram or will run better if you run a matched set of DIMMs) It's a good chipset it just got alot of revisions in a very short time...
