lucky bastard. i'm having a minor prob. does wd's have temp sensors? cuz this one doesn't seem to have one. speedfan picks up a sensor, but doesn't display a temp

does anyone know if wds have sensors? any software to read them? cuz speedfan and hd temp thing that clocker uses doesn't work

try checking if bios tells you something....if a temp is there...it may have a sensor? oh well ima go watch some tv right now.... cya lata

yeah they have em but they arent like the ones on passwird, the case is blue and yellow, not red and white, is it still the same thing? also, are the rebates still avalible on passwird? my internet my be too slow

Yeah, glad im not the only one who doesnt check his HD temps.

Look, Abu, just keep an eye on your mobo temp, dont worry about your HD temp, overheating is the last thing to worry about on a HD.

I&#39;ve had so many HDD&#39;s go bad. I darn well monitor the HDD temp. I use DTemp it&#39;s freeware.

is there any prog that will show both hd temps? cuz all the 1s i&#39;ve tried only show my maxtor, but they pic up a sensor on the wd, bu thtey don&#39;t show it
