Video_ts

I have a VIDEO_TS file on my PC Hard drive. If I play the .vob's they play fine. How can I:
a)merge them
b)make them into a DVD Mpeg.

I tried TMPGEnc Plus but the files I produce never have audio.

a VIDEO_TS folder is a dvd u just need to burn that to dvd, if u have nero 6 just goto nero express then to slect dvd video files, then then u will see to files on in red, click the red file then put al the files from your VIDEO_TS folder in the red folder, then jsut burn

i don't want to burn it. I want to transfer it to a friend who doesn't have a dvd burner so he can watch it on his computer

well ur gonna need to burn it some time to transfer it, if u dont have a dvd burner conver the dvd to avi check out this site it'll tell u everything u need to know dvdrhelp.com

I'm not sure what tools you can use mate as i''ve never done it so you have to search your self.All you need to do thou if you want a dvd mpeg2 file is rip the mv2 or m2v stream out of the vob files and the audio then just mux them or multiplex.You dont need to encode them ,they're just wrapped in the vob.

well if he doesn't want to encode he could zip it with winrar, might take a few disk esp a dvd

Use xmpeg to convert to either avi or vcd. then put it onto two disks.

if your using windows

Go to TMPGEnc select browse go to the folder it is stored in.

it probably doesn't show it

where it says- files of type- scroll down until you get -all files-press select

then press open

you will find that it as loaded

vid source audio source leave alone

output file-put name of movie and select new destination if you want

now where it says settings/load/save

go to load and select template ie videoCD (pal).mcf

press open

then press start it will start encoding
