This is something I came across on the boards of another forum:
It's supposed to speed up Win XP performance by moving core system files into RAM .... Would anyone recommend this or would this completely overload RAM and leave no more space for additional progs?Increasing System Performance
If you have 512 megs or more of memory, you can increase system performance
by having the core system kept in memory.
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerMemory ManagementDisablePagingExecutive
Set the value to be 1
Reboot the computer
I'm going to try it when I get a chance ... but just want to hear some thoughts from anyone who might have tried it before ... or any caveats in general ...
