Could someone tell me what leeching is? I know discussions about it are banned (amen to free speech), but is it something I should be concerned about?

Leeching is basically just TAKING and NEVER giving back! For example, on a P2P network (like FastTrack), you disable sharing, so other's can't download from you.

It's an issue you should be concerned about, cause if everyone leeches, then there would be less and less shared resources.

Anybody could do that anyway, you don`t need any special software or resources to do that, and surely it should reduce because of people switching from dila-up connections to faster and faster broadband connections, so the effects of sharing are felt less by the sharer in terms of the speed of their own connection.
