i just downloaded Magix music studio delux 2004 and wen i install it i have problems using it ie.wen i click on the shortcut on my descktop it comes up for 2 seconds and then goes away again any help would be highly appriciated

Apart from that,
Check the path of the shorcut if its pointing to the main exe file in the programs directory. Where did you download that from? Some trojans are around that get associated with setup installations and spread just like that.
Best option, if the setup is credible, reinstall it again.
