Thread: Ati

    Ok, I need some info on my card = ATI 9000PRO 128Mb

    How long will this last me for gaming (or has it already un-use-able...), as in like newer, better games, and looking into the future for Half-Life 2?

    Also, if this is already too weak, what should I look to that could handle these types of games? (from experience, i'd rather an ATI, but i may just be retarded...)

    That card is pretty old but should still be able to play a lot of games. If you want to get a new card and want ATI, then I would buy the 9600XT.
    [SIZE=1]AMD 4200 X2 @ 2.65Ghz, ASRock 939-VSTA

    anything under a 9200 is dead, and should be dropped

    edit: go after whichever meets your needs. (microcenter sells the 9800pro for only 300[this is probly in-store only])

    Either XP Pro or Win 98?

    Strikes me as a weird option list.
    What do you think the advantages of Pro over Home are?
    Why not 2000 Pro while we're at it?

    Well.....
    I've had many people tell me Pro > Home... but whatever.....
    And i've always loved 98 oh so much...

    I must seem stupid because, under this topic, i most definitly am. I loved 98 when I had it, and got pissed at XP when I first got it, but with someones kick-ass advice (it might have actually been you... thank you if it was), I got it to be as much like 98 as possible. But I thought I'd try and go back back to the "glory days" of 98, just to see how it'd be, but whatever, thats just me and my completely insane reasoning. It's best not to try to understand it haha.......

    EDIT = would the 9600xt be a good card, and if so, what would be a good price for it?
