The funniest thing I've ever heard a tech supporter say, was a buddy of mine who worked for Dell. He had a call from a guy who said that his cup holder had broken off. and he wanted them to replace it.

well, of course you can pretty much guess what he was talking about, he was using his cd-rom as a cup holder. I've laughed my ass off.

Until he told me that, I always thought that was just one of those tech rumors you always hear, but never can find anything to prove it, but it turns out this does happen, and he said it's more common than you would think.
