just let it run the longer its open the faster it goes
you change the upload from your real upload speed to the upload of a 56k user
this means you should get faster downloads
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>BLAH</span>
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Wayne Rooney - A thug and a thief</span>
oh then thats not right i tried it but i didnt see a difference only a minus 20kb upload speed and i dont think this is fair....Originally posted by 3rd gen noob@18 December 2003 - 12:10

i never use bitt, but if i did, i'd use this setting until i had finished the download, then leave the upload a lot higher until i had uploaded as much as i downloaded at least

yea but chnaging the upload limit doesnt actually do anything and thats why theres no point to it its basically a poor mans version of leeching in a way
throttling the upload rate lower can lead to an increase in download speedOriginally posted by scribblec@18 December 2003 - 11:35

it's possible to choke your download speed if you're uploading at too high a rate
usually this occurs on my connection (512/256k adsl) at approx 85% upload
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>BLAH</span>
<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Wayne Rooney - A thug and a thief</span>
especially (A)DSL can have problems with this, so turning ul peed can help getting better dl speeds! BUT make sure you leave the torrent open after your finished, that's the only way the system will keep on working great. At least go for a 1:1 ratio. Or help out people that still haven't finished!
As some wise dude once told Torrents have a right to live too B)
