I see your point J'Pol. It was simply a matter of our individual perception of what "criticism" means, i.e. our definition of the word, and the context used within this thread...Originally posted by J'Pol@18 December 2003 - 08:51
Criticism is the act of evaluating or analyzing.
As such I criticized your work, in a positive way.
"I hope everybody will refrain from criticizing each other" Having read the various posted comments I was differentiating "criticism" from "complementing" and held one as negative over the other as positive. Criticism suggesting an unfavorable judgement as compared to being complementary. Now if you want you can still continue to criticize.

But it is true, indubitably so.

I must empty my shoes whenever I leave the forum.
No sense embarassing yourself in front of the sprouts.

Camille is a strange name for a brother.
Are you a Frenchman at all.
Not at all. It's my penname in my college days.
How do you deal with criticism [/b][/quote]
No I'm not, I used to write essays when I was in college. Criticism depends upon your usage if really insult a person to hurt.
Bad criticism is nearly a brother of insulting.Originally posted by j2k4@18 December 2003 - 23:11
Criticism is a very important component of debate.
I think you would be more correct to say we should desist from insulting one another, but this too would be a burdensome condition.
