Downloaded this "Must Have". Generally fine, but Excel doesn't work, and SR1 crashes Word and Powerpoint.
Is this just a dodgy source, or is it something I've got to live with?

Thanks for the reply!
Searched for "Office 2000", then d-loaded the one with the most sources.
BTW. Since have d-loaded Excel 2000 on its own. It opens up now, but closes down almost immediately, as do Word and Powerpoint. If I run "repair/restore", this sometimes fixes things, although I haven't tried it since getting "new Excel. Pain not being able to apply service packs, tho.
I suspect that I'm just going to have to re-d-load from another source, but thought it might be worth sounding out this board for views first.
In the meantime, I've taken the suspect download out of my shared folder

OK, as soon as I posted that, I knew it was a stoopid qustion.
I've now checked the MS site!
