I use PaintShop Pro 4.12 (for the quick tasks)
PaintShop Pro 7
Adobe Paint
Simply 3D
Ulead Media Studio

These programs are sufficiaent for what I need. I do recommend MAYA (I have v4.5), which is incredible, but very difficult to learn (NEED Windows NT, 2K or XP Pro). South Park TV show is created with MAYA. So was the "Final Fantasy" movie.

Adobe Photoshop, Autocad, Paint shop pro, Paint etc. It all depends that you want to do.
