Mike Connors in "Tightrope" .
Actually he was more an undercover agent than a detective per se.
Trivia Question:.... Anyone know where he secreted his gun on his body? Whenever he was frisked by the "bad guys" they could never discover it. He influenced me to carry mine the same way.

Detective Goren from Criminal Intent is pretty cool. I also like that Grissom guy from CSI even though he isn't really a cop.
