i used to think my puter had a soul of it's own when i used to run microslop windows ME, which im sure you all know, was the biggest peice of shit OS ever. i upgraded to XP home edition, then again to XP professional. So i figured im on the Version 3 of my upgrades with Microsoul (microsoft). stupid maybe, but ive been using this same name for every forum and every game i play for 2 years or so.

Hey Peeps,

Mine came from that late sixties, early seventies album and cartoonish video, "Free To Be You and Me" and added to the obvious p2p phenomena.

"Free To Be" had an enormous influence on me as a tot barely understanding the concepts with tons of "socialist, pinko, commie" messages about being allright just as a human being and not a "patriot", or "saved", or even "100% all the time- a straight thinking and acting man" (slap "Kinsey" in a Google window.)
It happens to be right along the convo I had tonite with my old childhood freind who I see once every 2 or three years now.
We were talking about how most teenagers (and even more so with "minorities") behave (The thought occured along time ago. It's now a feeling.) like they wont live past 25. The enormous fear we have about each other in this country (and appaling murder rate) compared to some towns in Canada for instance. The (Bad) News Media keeps us fearful and "protected" by soothing messages of rhetoric from our politicians and president. And Yes, "Bowling for Columbine" was brought up. Hey I sound like a Green Party candidate already!
The show and soundtrack were a wonderful door into "thinking for yourself" and the action that must ensue.
Recommended songs. "This land is your land" (by Woodie Guthrie) and "Be Who You Want To Be" (by Ewan McColl?)
