Just downloaded norton personal firewall
I installed it everything is ok.
just wanna know something when i downloaded norton personal firewall there is file called ALErules.
I wanna know what is this file if you have it and know what it is plz tell me

I use all the Nortons

I've done a search of my comp. and I haven't got a file "alerules"

Google or symantec doesn't throw any light on the matter either.

dump it and scan your pc
then get sygate or zonealarm, both have free versions that are really good
(no need to d/l from kazaa and risk corrupted d/ls)

I personally prefer Norton PF to zonealarm and ive had both

norton sucks because you can't import the bad ip list in nortons unless you do it one at a time, thats what separates it from anything else
za and zygate are your best option if security is at all a concern to you(if not keep norton )
za or zygate with the bad ip list is your best protection

then why not try sygate?
actually, i prefer it over ZA,(had both, use sygate now),
but was giving both as an example
both are free, easy to setup, like muchspl2 said easier to work with
if you want to add ip blocks
no need to risk viruses/corrupted d/ls from kazaa

and if you absolutely have to have a pro version,
use verifieds, preferably from emule/sharereactor
or verified hashes from our friends here in the forum
