Thread: Realone Player

  1. #1
when i go to preferences and click on media types, there is a list of all these different media types with checkboxes next to them. They also say what program that type is currently assigned to. are the check boxes for changing a media type associated with a different program to RealOne? If nothing is checked, will nothing play in realone unless i specifically tell the file to open with it? what if the media type is currently assigned to RealOne but it is not checked? what does that mean?

The check boxes are for real player associations, if you check them then realone will open with that type of media. Sometimes a player will assume association with an extension and play it even if it isn't checked (as you say the player has done) , but the default player may at a later time take back that association.

    Hope this helps,
    Steve

ok so if its checked that means it will always open with realone?
and if its not checked but it says its currently assigned to realone, another program such as winamp could steal that media type?
