I have this rw and it's only ripping dvds at 2x surely that isnt correct.I have a very old DVDR drive and it reads it faster then the Sony drive.

Toshiba and Sony are famous for this. The ripping speed is set in the firmware. The only way around it is changing the firmware (voiding your warrantee!Originally posted by sxc_ant@23 December 2003 - 22:13
