I use my internet service provider, charter cable.
First I just find out which newsgroup has the image I want then I connect to that group and download my files.
I pay nothing extra and have always found the group I was looking for.

Why do people need download managers?? (dial up users??)
I have a 2Mbps cable and by the time I click save its done
Download managers are useful if you want to queue a large number of files, even if you have fast broadband. Some sites will only allow you to download 2 files at a time. With a download manager you can queue them up to download whilst you sleep or are out.

What do mean them days mate? i've used n/gs ,theres nothing you can get there you cant get easier else where & alot more and faster..i suppose thou mate its just taste.
I mean when I didnt know about using a DL manager and it became a hassle so I gave up on them and just started using newz, nothing personal, I just got tired of the headaces. I guess you learn something everyday

Might go back and give them a try again....if I can find my list/favs/sites....lol[/b][/quote]
Shelley you seem to gone a bit defensive ...I was'nt having a dig mate or ment to sound like i was..I was just commenting on a use for a dl manager, like multipule files.I rarly bother with warez, ftp myself mate,it is to much of a mess around with the links dieing so quick. When it is easier just to use bittorent, emule, mirc n/g etc.
