when i download any software files i get the MSDOS icon attached to the finished downloaded file and I find that it cant be extracted - even while the file is being downloaed in KL the MSDOS icon is showing against the file instead of the usual KL download icon
can anybody give me some assistance with this problem

Maybe try deleting kazaa and reinstalling making sure you check delete all registry keys.Or you might need to get winrar or winzip installed.
