so, dude, are you going to get exchange the 9500 pro for the 9700 pro?

I think you should unless you need the money for a better monitor. In my personal opinion I think that the 9500 pro should be more than enough to satisfy your gaming needs.

If I were you I would save up as much money as possible for the best monitor you get. $200 should be able to get you a good 19 inch flat screen CRT.

huh? then y did you post that? but i though my pci didnt fit either when i first installed the board... the slot and the pci slot cover dont line up, the pci slot cover is slighty higher hten the pci slot itself.

What I ment by the time I got done typing and posting to this -

HOLY SHIT...just saw a big problem I think...My PCI and AGP slots dont fit with the exspansion places in the case. For example if I pluged a PCI card into the slot..it wouldnt fit right on the outside....what do I do???

Hmmm..well I aint spending no fucking $200 right now. I dont have a job or anything....and I still got $350 after all my comp stuff...but I want to save that for now. However, I will exchange the 9500Pro for the 9700Pro cuz thats a big diff. Hey...If I send back the 9500Pro...and Get the 9700Pro...that will take about a week or so from today. Can I just use my 440MX untill I get my cards...or will the drivers like conflict and not work as well???

Everything will work, just check and see if your MMX 440 is AGP compliant. If so, you can just plug in into your mobo's AGP slot.

Also, make sure that Newegg actually has some 9700pro's left when you send it back. Be sure to call their customer support and make sure that they save you a 9700 pro...and get them to promise because it would be a pain in the ass if you wait all that time for nothing.

...I personally think you are a little bit nuts to be playing games on a 9700 pro with a 17 inch CRT that is not even flat...I think you should blow at least $200 on a nice flat screen CRT monitor to finish off your system.

no the 440mx is PCI...can I install the nvidia stuff for it then put the 9700Pro in and install all the drivers for that and they wont conflict or anything?

Also...is it pretty much a garantee that I will be able to return my 9500Pro if i dont even open it? Can I just have my 9700Pro ordered tonight with good concious that I can return the 9500Pro?

No, you should uninstall the Nvidia drivers before installing any ATI hardware.

Download driver cleaner here, read the read me file, follow the instructions. After you run that, it should be safe to install the ATI drivers.
