Hi there, bigdawgfoxx,Originally posted by bigdawgfoxx@25 December 2003 - 02:24
Hey...do i need to use long screws to screw my mobo in? Or short ones...I screwed one short one in and it seemed ok...is that right?
Do you go back to the hospital after the christmas holidays?
How come dont dont seem to know anything?
Should you be allowed to handle sharp/metallic tools?
Why not just use thermal pad? what is the problem with the thermal pad anyway?
I used the one that was on my heatdink and it works fine. P.S. pc spec= 2400xp athlon, temp 32deg. 4200gf4 128meg. 512 meg 2700 mem.
Asus K7V8X/lan/sound,(disabled, using soundblaster 5-1 live player.)
120gig ibm hdd 7200rpm,
3 case fans + two mounted on heatsink over processor = 5 altogether.(thinking about making own watercooling kit). 2xdvd+-r/rw/24Xcdrw.
etc etc etc...case, 21 in monitor, found at local council dump 3 years ago, still going strong.
Anyway, i made the same pc for a friend, and he was so happy with the performance he lent me the money to build one the same for meinterest free

Have had since feb and every game i throw at it works perfectly, t3 rise of the machines, flawless, prince of persia , sands of time, like silk, nfs underground, what can i say? perfect! 3d mark 2001, (the one with max payne,) 11000+, cant remember exactly, was above 11000.
What i'm taking so long saying is that you have to just get in there, and try, or you will be forever asking someone else, the best way to learn, (some things anyway,) is just to go for it, have confidence that you can do it, pc's are a bit like lego, just follow instructions and everything should work fine, the worst thing is installing os and drivers.
DO YOU WANT TO SAY THAT YOU MADE IT?
With all the help you are requesting, what size screws? whats metal plate for? come on, you are messing about.
Surely you know rightly how to make a pc.
P.S. also fit memory on mobo before fitting into box.
If you need more cooling for processor, cut a hole for a fan in case directly opposite processor, and fit fan.![]()
Cockboy, not gay, ok?
