btw.... did u set ur jumper straight?
Alright ill change the halt thing clocker. Where do you change the floppy seek? what part in the bios?Originally posted by clocker@27 December 2003 - 17:58
Your mobo manual should have a "beep code" to tell you what that means.
If you don't have a floppy installed make sure that you disable "Floppy seek at boot"
Your boot sequence should be CD then HDD.
Also disable "Halt on all errors"...change that to "Halt on no errors".

Um I have them on the same cable...and the CD is prob set to master even tho its on the secondary connector thing...but STILL I wouldnt think that would produce the stop code.
@ Clocker, I see nothing in my manual about a beep code.

normally dont mothberboards say press <X key> to continue hte first time u start it up after it has finished detecting CPU and RAM and drives and stuff? Im pretty sure nie did. Then it takes u to the bios then i never saw it again. Maybe ur bios reset jumper is set wrong?
ok unplung ur hdd and leave the cd drive on master and try to boot up with cd-first
yea thats what i was thinking....maybe its put to clear instead of keepOriginally posted by ROSSCO_2003@27 December 2003 - 17:05

Check that for sure.....maybe its put to clear instead of keep
Then put your HDD on it's own cable on the primary IDE channel.
CD goes on the secondary IDE channel.
If you read further on DWk's "benchie" post link, it has a complete description of how the BIOS was set up and Windows was installed....
