sry forgot we're dealing with bigdawg![]()
turn off computer, move the jumper to the clear stage, wait a few seconds, move the jumper to the keep stage, turn on computer
and let us know
Again...WHAT?
Turn off power.
Remove jumper and place in the clear position.
Leave for a few seconds then put back to the keep (normal) position.
Power up machine.
You don't need the main power at all during the clear CMOS process.

ah oh well...my mobo needs me to do that in order to clear....maybe a security thing
-edit- nevermind.... i think im being affected with what im drinking![]()
As I remember, setting the CMOS jumper to clear creates a short circuit which allows the stored charges which remember the BIOS settings to dissipate. So it doesn't need power to do that.
yea..... i aint gonna drink this shiat anymore lol...its 2 strong for a 5pm drink....
ok bigdawg....anything new?
Set the FSB to 333.
Connect the HDD to IDE0 'master' - all by itself.
Connect the CDRW to IDE1 'master'
Set the boot sequence to be CD before the HDD.
Then start the computer again and autodetect the HDD.
One question. What is on the HDD now? Is it blank?
