BTW,
You don't have to wait for your new video card to bench this baby.
You could run BurnIn test to verify CPU, memory and HDD stability right now and deal with the video separately.
It would also be a good way to check your Windows installation.

I will run some benchmarks, too see how much they relie (cant spell that damn word) on the CPU.

Let me update everything on windows update before I do anything else, and install nortan, officexp pro, and other neccesities!

Clocker, can I do the burn-in test on sisoft Sandra pro? I know it has a burn in test, but will it check memory and all that?

On the restarting...

Turn off the automatic restart on error function.

Start>Control Panel>Switch to Classic View>System>Advanced>Startup and recovery settings> Remove the checkmark from Automatically restart and click ok.

This should really be in SoftwareWorld.

If you are using a version of windows xp pro that you got off of Kazaa I suggest that you change the key before going there because your computer will get blacklisted.

I don't know dawg, I've never used it.

BurnIn test is a good way to stress different aspects of your rig- you can pick and choose what areas to test and how aggressively to stress them.
You can download a free trial version off the net. The only downside is that you can only run the trial version for 15 minutes ( maybe it's 30, I forget).
After I was satisfied with my settings, the only thing I was looking for was a way to run at 100% CPU usage for extended periods to test my cooling solutions.
Folding@Home has worked out well for this.
I am currently on day 3.5 at full whack and temps are stable at 35c.

Its not off of kazaa I got someone to make me a very nice copy of it and I have used it on a couple of systems FINE. Got updates with no problem. Didnt get it off kazaa.

I WAS JUST CHILLIN, DOWNLOADING UPDATES AND LIVEUPDATE ON NORTAN, and I got a SYNC out of range..wtf. The only other time ive seen that is when I set my Hz on my monitor too high...and i havnt done nothin to it...hmm

Also it doesnt save all of my settings. Like say I do something to windows like with the start bar its saved. But with the quick launch thing on the start bar it dont stay..and neither do my windows media player setting things. Maybe it will work after I update. How can I change the Key anyway? Or how do I know they wont blacklist that one?
