    hi i got xp home and i got a question about the welcome screen. is there a way to disable it and the computer will go on my 1 and only account automaticlly instead of having to wait for the welcome screen to come up? also is there a way to disable the switch users option? thnks.

    control panel>user accounts>change the way users log on or off
    then uncheck the welcome screen

    i did that and then rebooted but a box come up asking me to type in user name and click ok. i dont want 2 type in me user name cuase i only got 1&#33; i just wana press the power button andi want it to log on my account automaticly with me click or typing anything. this is possible rite? how do u do it? thnks.

    Have you removed the password for this account? You have to remove the password.

    you can use TweakUI for XP to do that.
    download it from Microsoft&#39;s site.

    then in TweakUI, expand the "Login" thingy, then check the Autologon box and enter the username.

    this post is guaranteed 100% parrot-free
