Stuck on level 5, found username & password but dont work. F*CK the rest, it's doin my head in. Cannot find a decompiler or whatever it is i'm supposed to use, been using a hex editor up till now.

Yeah, finding a VB 3 decompiler is quite boring but once you have it you can easily find the password and username.

So get the decompiler here.

You don't need VB 3 to decompile it.
Run the file Vbdis3e.exe and just ignore the popup that says 'Visual Basic not found'.

This will put you back on track! B)

i just found out i never bothered using them since i was having too much fun doing it without them.

im sure there is a more up to date version out there and it still does give you some helpfull hints about how to go about hacking each task.

havnt got past level two, but im not really worried. java/flash/html arnt really my thing. as far as level 5 goes, it sounds like you need to forge your header. really easy to do using lynx (for all you linux junkies) and there are ways to do it using telnet. as far as tests go, i really like the geek challenges on http://ca-osi.com/ because there more based in programming (well, after level 2 or 3)

another issue i had with try2hack: right click on level 2 still worked for me. im using debian 3 linux 2.4.20 mozilla 1.00
