I don't see anything on level 4, i know its supposed to run some kind of applet class thing, but i think my firewall or settings elsewhere have cancelled it. (Or is this part of it?) I tried disabling my firewall but that didn't help.
Any ideas anyone or should i just skip this level with the passwords people have provided.

You don't need VB 3 to decompile it.
Run the file Vbdis3e.exe and just ignore the popup that says 'Visual Basic not found'.

This will put you back on track! B)

i am back

i was fooling myself .... it was only a problem with the vbrun300.dll. therefore the decomp doesn't work.

now it works and i get user and password for level 6.

hey guys wuz up.
made it to level 7 in 6 hours, now im stuck for a few days.
apparently they want you to connect to the server and spoof your browser version and want you to make your referer from microsoft.
there are two ways that im aware of to do this.
a. use a telnet client or putty.
b. try using sumthing like proximitron
however, im a bit confused.
id like to do it the intended way and use a telnet/putty
when i connect to the server, port 80, nothing happens. i suppose ths is intentional.
im aware that i have to put in a page request, but im a bit confused as to how i should format my text string.
any help would be greatly appreciated...
for anyone b4 this level, if you paid attention to the faq's, searching google for basic keywords will yield astounding results.
please pm me if you can help me with my prob.
