I need help, not sure where to post
not sure where to go with this...transfer media to preserve material,
need to change this(analog) plastic film to a digital form,(hardware?)
at the same time trying to preserve or improve the quality(software).

did a search on board, maybe I missed it
anybody have any ideas as how to go about this project?

sorry, I didn't make it clear, these are not still photographs
    but home motion pictures.

it is the small things that usually drive us mad

that is not possible unless you have a scanner to scan all your pictures....meaning you have to get htem develope first....if there is a way, not as many ppl would bother w/ digital camera

I use a film box, plug in a good camcorder (I use a mini dv) and the other end you put the old projector, hit play & recored
it then transfers the film to digital medium to scan/edit/enhance whatever

video capture card, if you can plug your camcorder straight into your tv and watch it that way, you can buy a tv capture card and play the film on your camcorder and capture it using your pc, depending on your pc specs.
