Thread: Dvd Ripping Crash !

  1. #1
Last night I asked about dvd ripping and was advised to try DVD Decrypter or Smart ripper.
I downloaded both and started playing around to see which was the best .
I had ripped 4 dvds which seemed to play ok on the BS player.
Then I put a CD in the player and nothing happened I opened "MY Computer"to open the disc from their but there was no sign of it .
Somehow they had stopped comunicating , the disc drive was still running ok.
I tried system restore but it would not restore, I tried it again in safe mode nothing.
I had to wipe my disc and reinstall XP with the loss of all files because I could not save them on disc and I could not install a new driver.
Anyone got any idea what happened or how to repair such an event in the future?

I don't really have an answer for you, but I suggest downloading Go Back 3 Deluxe. It's more or less a greatly enhanced and far superior version of the system restore app found in Xp. I've had to use it a couple of times to save myself from disaster. And you'll have better luck finding it on eMule...Try here: file donkey
It's also a part of Norton Systemworks I think.
